  The Pajama Program

The Montvale Free Public Library is currently assisting with a service project organized
by Montvale resident Lisa Ekmekjian.  Ms  Ekmekjian is the Bergen County Coordinator for
the New Jersey Chapter of the Pajama Program.  This 501(c)(3) organization provides
comfort and love in the way of new pajamas and new books to children-in-need.

Ms Ekmekjian asks that you donate new children's pajamas or new children's books --
or both -- for ages newborn through 18.  (Please:  no "gently used" items.)  Donations
may be handed to the Library Assistants at the Circulation Desk.  ALL donations
will go to Bergen County charitable organizations, such as Head Start or
Shelter Our Sisters.

More information concerning this charitable organization can be found online at
www.pajamaprogram.org.  A feature presentation aired on The Oprah Winfrey Show
and can be viewed at
http://www.oprah.com/slideshow/oprahshow/oprahshow1_ss_20070403.

Donations will be accepted until the middle of March.
