The Montvale Free Public Library   Inclement Weather/Emergency Closings Policy

..."In case of extreme weather conditions, the Library will close early--or not open at all--if the Director and the Board President consider an early closing or full-day closing necessary for the safety of the Library staff."

    If you are not sure whether or not the Library is open, please telephone us at 201-391-5090.  Either a friendly voice will answer or the answering machine will let you know that even Nanook of the North couldn't make it through. 

   Occasionally we are unable to change the main message for the telephone, so, whenever possible, any closing will also be posted on the Library's Activity Calendar.  Just visit the Library's web site at montvale.bccls.org and click on the bar for "Activity Calendar."
