Board of Trustees Meeting

 

held in the Library on January 28, 2010 at 7:30 P.M.

 

 

           

 

I.          Roll Call

 

            In Attendance:              Irmgard Oelkers, President

                                                Tom Bonnell, Trustee

                                                Ellen Falk, Trustee

Donald Løndahl-Smidt, Trustee

                                                Vicki Slockbower, Trustee

                                                Dick Voorhees, Mayor’s Alternate

                                                Susan Ruttenber, Director

 

            Excused:                       William Belluzzi, Superintendent of Schools

 

           

                                               

            Irmgard Oelkers stated that the requirements of the Open Public Meetings        

            Act have been satisfied.

 

 

II.         Minutes

 

            The Minutes of the December 17, 2009 meeting were approved as amended.

III.       Director’s Report

 

The January Director’s Report prepared by Ms. Ruttenber is included with the Minutes.

 

Susan reported that since the Montvale Library was a net plus lender for 2009, we received a check for $5,570.00. 

 

The complete statistics for the 2009 calendar year are attached to this month’s Director’s Report.

            Action on Bills

 

            Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of The Montvale Free Public Library that

            the attached January bill list, totaling $13,186.58, is hereby ordered paid.

IV.      Unfinished Business

           

2010 Budget – Re-evaluate 

 

The Board re-evaluated the 2010 budget.  After a lengthy discussion, the Board decided to submit the 2010 budget request as was originally approved.

 

 

V.        New Business

 

Approve Check - Mail Newsletters/Pay Bulk Mailing Permit

 

The Board made a motion to approve the mailing of the Library newsletters and to pay the bulk mailing permit for an amount not to exceed $600.00.
