On November 2nd and 9th of
2007, the Montvale Public Library hosted a Baby Sign Language Class
taught by
Barabara Thuman, certified teacher of the deaf and hard of
hearing. In this class, mothers of infants from 6 months
to two years learned 100 simple signs, the alphabet and counting to 10
so that they might be able to communicate with their child before they
are old enough to vocalize. Communication with your baby at an
early age is fun and less frustrating for you and your child. It
can enable you to build a closer bond with your baby.
It allows you to give your child great knowledge that can last a
lifetime.
